JEFFREY C. PITTS, M.D.

Ophthalmologist

Dr. Pitts grew up in Syracuse, NY and attended college at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He attended medical school in Buffalo, NY and completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology in Buffalo. He moved to Ontario, Oregon in 1983 and has provided ophthalmologic services to our community for over 32 years. Dr. Pitts completed training in Aerospace Medicine and served in the Air National Guard in Boise, ID as a flight surgeon. He loves aviation and is a private pilot with SE, ME and IFR ratings.

Dr. Pitts believes that patient education is the foundation for good medical care. He enjoys spending the extra time with his patients to be sure they understand their problems and treatment plan. Dr. Pitts performs cataract and laser surgeries at the Ontario Surgery Center as well as St Alphonsus Medical Center Ontario. He also manages glaucoma patients and is the only provider in Ontario with an OCT (optical coherence tomographer) to evaluate the optic nerve and retina.
